The boxing communities in Ghana especially Bukom, James Town and its environs have seen lots of children struggle to get education because of numerous challenges including funding and support.

Mubarak Yusif Nanor after working hand-in-hand with Legacy Rise and Sports Promotion to host Darren Jason Watkins Jr. aka iShowSpeed at the Bukom Square has promised to bring something worth it to the people in the community aside boxing.

In an exclusive interview with the international boxing matchmaker and promoter he made a couple of revelations that is worth reporting.

Mr. Nanor will be celebrating his birthday on the 22nd February and as part of his celebrations, he will be taking a tour to many of the boxing gyms in Accra, Ghana to give back to the society. He will be selecting ten (10) children from his tour to give them support regarding education.

Mr. Mubarak Yusif Nanor is doubles as the Ambassadors of Prince De Henry Educational Complex, an institution known for excellence and dedication. The selected individuals will be enrolled at Prince De Henry Educational Complex once selected and giving the best when it comes to education.

The school hold a track record with a 100% pass rate and continue to give children in the community the best and ensure they are capable to meet the demands of both education and the art of boxing.

Prince De Henry Educational Complex has produced exceptional students who equal as boxing national and world champions who have periodically visited to motivate the current boxers enrolled with the importance of ensuring they enrich their education especially at Prince De Henry Educational Complex.

“I want to visit many of the boxing gyms Accra from the first or second week of February to select ten (10) children who are training as boxers but finding it difficult to get formal education.

I have been thinking about a way of giving back to the society and its not always bring the fans good boxing but also ensuring that the children learning the boxing trade get the fundamentals of education.

This is the beginning and that is why I am choosing ten (10) children, in the future I might add more.

I will be giving these selected children an educational scholarship that will include their school fees, feeding, stationery, uniforms and more. The only thing I will require from the parents of the selected is for the to plan how the children will journey to school.

Some parents are very willing to put their children in school but face the same challenge of funding and I believe this will ease that burden while ensuring safety of the children in the society.

The selection will be merit based and not just a wild goose chase. Some boxing coached have candidates who they believe need this assistant and I will sure consider that because I wouldn’t want to make the mistake of selecting someone who isn’t willing.” said Mr. Nanor
