Chelsea Fc after parting ways with Enzo Maresca have managed three wins in their last four games and looking more composed and ready for action. Chelsea Fc hosted Pafos Fc at the Stamford Bridge for the UCL tie where they needed the win to ensure they are still in any title contention.
Former Chelsea Fc defender, David Liuz was present for his current club Pafos Fc but wasn’t part of the action as he sat on the bench to watch his former and current club battle foe glory.

It was a game of few clear-cut chances, and one in which the Blues had plenty of the possession, the hosts had to grind out the result at the Bridge. The anticipation from the home supporters had to wait until the final 15 minutes to watch Liam Rosenior’s side break the deadlock as Caicedo headed home from close range in the 78′, but it was worth the wait.
Chelsea Fc were given a scare of an equaliser when Reece James got caught-up in a handball situation but VAR ruled it off even before the check was asked as his hand was in a natural position. The game ended with Ecuadorian international Moises Caicedo claiming the MOTM award.

He granted a post award interview where he highlighted the need to keep the current composure of the team heading into the EPL.
‘It was a very important goal for the team,’ Moises answered. ‘I’m just so happy we could win this game. It was so tough, but the team was good. I don’t score headers often, but tonight was the night. I’m so happy to score.
‘It was difficult to break them down, but we needed to control the game, and we did that really well, so that was important for us.’

Moises feels like he’s growing into a leadership role in the dressing room as one of the more experienced players, and he is relishing taking it on, leading by example.
‘A lot of people tell me I’m a leader,’ he continued. ‘I don’t talk too much in the dressing room, but I like to show on the pitch or in training every day. That’s important. We are working every day really hard because we need to be better every game.’
‘I’m so happy because we got the three points,’ he added.
‘Now we are going to keep going because we have one more game to secure our place in the top eight. The team is preparing well and we will keep working hard.’
