As many teams scramble to get their squad beefed up in the fact racing transfer window, Krobea Kumasi Asante Kotoko made a statement of their own snugging up their former player Albert Amoah who was in good shape before they selling his.

The 24-year-old Ghanaian striker joined Libyan side Al Ahly Benghazi in a transfer that sparked rumours on its own as Asante Kotoko has just suffered a 5-1 thrashing against Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco in the second leg of the CAF Confederations Cup in Casablanca.

Proving he was able and showcasing it while playing for Asante Kotoko, many have questioned why Al Ahly Benghazi would loan they player to his former club. Amoah before his move to the North African side was the focal point for Kotoko scoring 15 goals in 29 appearances but never seemed to get a hold of enjoying his time with the North African side as has been the case of many transfers in Ghana.

Amoah featured in a couple of friendly games but still hasn’t solidified his feet in the main teams action prompting a move to get him more playing time.

His move to Asante Kotoko is a double fold in whether the current manager will make him the target man knowing his loan move ends after the season. However, Amoah is used to the Ghana premier league and can find his way around.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been struggling with to find the back of the net in the second half of the league and this played a part in their recruiting of former player.
