Renowned Ghanaian young and yet enterprising boxing match maker Mr. Mubarak Yusif Nanor has expressed his disappointment after missing out on the ultimate at the just ended Boxing Ghana Awards which took place at the Idrowhyt Events Centre in Accra.

This was the fourth edition and Mr. Nanor believed some categories needed to be awarded than voted as favouritism could discredit the main output of who wins considering the year under review.

Having lost the award to fellow Augustus Duodoo, Mr. Nanor believed his efforts for the year under review has been undermined although he was working to bring the best to the fans and boxing lovers, the organisers should have done due diligence.

“Sometimes you feel cheated after an award goes to a different party looking at what you have done under the year of review. Although I am not discrediting the input of the winner, many people looked surprised when the award was not given to me.

I have done a lot and I can confidently say I should have been awarded the ‘Boxing Matchmaker’ of the year, but this is the game when votes is used to determine who is the best.

This will not stop me from doing my job, I will continue to bring more to the table and ensure fans get the types of fights they are seeking.”
