Defending Champions Paris Saint-Germain staged a champions comeback against Tottenham Hotspur’s at the Parc des Princes which ended up in an eight (8) goals thriller.
Randal Kolo Muani returned to his former club since his transfer and made sure to light up his performance while he was on the pitch.
Thomas Frank and his team travelled for the UEFA Champions League gave against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, 26 November 2025 and what started as a shocker turned into a whooping.
Tottenham Hotspur’s began the game like pros holding play and matching PSG in all positions and finally got a break in the 35’ with a Richarlison opener. Randal Kolo Muani who gave the assist was seen celebrating while many wondered why he paid no respect to his mother club.
Ten minutes after Richarlison’s opener, one of the best midfielders in the world Vitinha levelled it for the host before going into the break. This was more of a chess game although Spurs looked more composed and ready in the first half.
The second half became yet again with a banger from Spurs. This time it was none other than Kolo Muani himself. In the 50’, Muani latched on a lose ball from a corner kick to put Spurs back in front.
Vitinha replied with a three minute response (53’) levelling play for PSG. His first for the night was with his right foot, and his equaliser was a beautiful curler with his left to make it 2-2.
The game was now drifting into the favour of PSG who came back twice. With a high pressing PSG attacking line, Pape Matar Sarr frivolously gave the ball away which turned into a swift attack, João Neves with a cunning back-heel pass found Fabian Ruiz who slotted it in for PSG’s third in the 59’.
Thomas Frank and his team sure did not expect this sudden change of events but it was a game against the current UCL champions. Willian Pacho increased the lead for PSG in the 65’ following another defensive blunder. Sarr was beaten to a lose ball from a Vitinha cross to make it 4-2 for PSG.
It was actually far from done as Spurs staged another comeback all thanks to Kolo Muani who headed in his second for Spurs in the 73’ bringing the scoreline to 4-3. With hopes of sharing the spills in France, Cristian Romero found himself caught in a handball situation urging centre referee Felix Zwayer to point to the spot.
Vitinha who was on a brace took responsibility and slotted it in for his hat-trick and a 5-3 scoreline for PSG. Spurs started to throw everything they got at PSG and almost got answers as Xavi Simons almost made it past Lucas Hernandez who drew needless pressure on himself after his elbow went straight into the face of Simons.
Hernandez was sent off in the 90+3’ as Spurs were awarded a freekick in a very promising position. Pedro Porro tried his luck but didn’t trouble Lucas Chevalier as the game ended 5-3.
