Ghana’s junior tennis team is expected to arrive at the Kotoka International Airport tomorrow after wrapping up their campaign at the ITF/CAT African Junior Championships, where they finished second following a difficult final against Tunisia played yesterday.

Despite being edged out in the championship match, the young Ghanaian players earned national admiration for their courage, intensity, and consistency throughout the tournament. Their journey showcased the depth of talent growing within Ghana’s junior tennis ranks.

Tomorrow, the team will receive an official welcome from the President of the Ghana Tennis Federation, Mr. Isaac Aboagye-Duah, together with members of the GTF executive. The Federation has expressed immense pride in the players, emphasizing that the team’s performance reflects Ghana’s continued rise in African junior tennis.

In addition to the airport reception, the team will enjoy a special honour later in the day as they meet the Prince of Edinburgh of the United Kingdom at the Accra Sports Stadium. The Prince is in Ghana as part of the UK’s Sports Week celebrations, and the encounter will recognize the Ghanaian team’s hard work and strong representation on the continental stage.

Tomorrow promises to be a memorable day for the young athletes, returning home with silver medals, international experience, and the support of both national leaders and global sporting figures.
