Manchester City returned from international action only to suffer a defeat to Newcastle United as with all their stars representing.

Erling Haaland who has been on a goal scoring spree could not help his side secure victory on their return after a 2-1 defeat away at the St. James Park while Liverpool Fc was also suffering their side of the defeat at home to Forest.

Harvey Barnes opened the scoring after Newcastle United had held Man City through the first hour of the game before finding the back of the net in the 63’. Manchester City who were holding majority of possession responded with a quick fire as Dias headed in the equaliser in the 68’.

It was a game many did not expect to produce the kind of result as the goals scored came in small time intervals. Dias scored the equaliser in the 68’ and two minutes after Barnes who scored the opener for Newcastle United got his brace.

At this point, Josep Pep Guardiola was lost for options. Having the best already on the field and holding 68% of possession against a determined Magpies team who were ready to give it all they got.
At the 90’, Newcastle United managed to maintain their composure to secure the needed victory over Manchester City.
