Ghana’s U12 boys delivered another commanding performance at the ITF/CAT African Junior Championships 2025 in Casablanca, recording a decisive 3–0 victory over Angola to maintain their flawless run in the tournament. With discipline, resilience, and sharp execution, the young Ghanaian team once again proved why they are emerging as one of the strongest forces in Group B.

In the opening singles match, Jefter Dowouna faced a physically imposing and aggressive opponent in Lems David of Angola. After dropping the first set 5–7, Jefter regrouped, adjusted his tempo, and raised his intensity to take the second set 6–4. With the match hanging in the balance, he dominated the decider 6–3, securing a hard-earned victory that set the tone for Ghana’s dominance.

Next on court, Maxwell Antwi produced a composed and confident performance against Binga Mercelino. Keeping control of the rallies and minimizing errors, Maxwell took the match 6–1, 6–4, giving Ghana an unassailable 2–0 lead. His consistency and tactical discipline continue to be key pillars of the team’s success in Morocco.

The doubles team of Jefter Dowouna and Blessing Sewornu stepped onto Court 4 intent on sealing Ghana’s dominance and they did so in style. Facing the pair of Binga Mercelino and Manuel Josue, the Ghanaian duo played with excellent coordination and purposeful net play, winning 6–4, 6–2. Their victory secured Ghana another perfect 3–0 result, completing a clean sweep against a determined Angolan side.

With this win, Ghana remains undefeated in the group stage, showing a level of consistency, fighting spirit, and technical sharpness that continues to impress. Their next game will see them face Morocco, the toughest opponents in Group B. Expectations are high as Ghana’s young stars aim to carry their unbeaten run forward with the same heart, skill, and deep sense of national pride.
