In a remarkable show of leadership and commitment to athlete development, the President of the Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) has launched a nationwide crowdfunding initiative to raise GHC 60,000 towards the purchase of 2026 National Team Kits.
The initiative covers all categories of national representation, U12, U14, U16 (Boys & Girls), Wheelchair Tennis, Golden Rackets, and Diamond Rackets, ensuring every athlete who carries the Ghana flag onto the court does so with pride, unity, and a renewed sense of national identity.

According to sources within the GTF, the decision to crowdsource support is grounded in the belief that national teams belong to the people, and every Ghanaian deserves the opportunity to contribute to the journey of the players who fight for the nation on the international stage.

The campaign has already received a heartwarming response from the tennis community and beyond. A significant number of members, supporters, and well-wishers have made donations, some quietly, others publicly, each contribution reflecting a shared dream: seeing Ghana’s rising stars dressed in world-class kits worthy of their talent and dedication.

Officials say the funds will go directly into acquiring high-quality apparel for all national competitions in the 2026 season. With rising participation across age groups and increased visibility of wheelchair and senior categories, the GTF believes this investment is crucial.
“This is more than kits; it is about identity, confidence, and national pride,” a GTF insider noted. “When our players step onto the court in uniform, they step on behalf of millions.”
The Federation continues to call on past players, corporate Ghana, tennis alumni, parents, and lovers of the sport to be part of this historic drive. With several donations already secured, the GTF is confident that, together, the community will reach the GHC 60,000 target and usher in a new era of unity and support for the sport.
Ghana Tennis belongs to all of us, let’s dress our athletes for greatness.
