The meeting touched on numerous aspects of sports as the Director who is a sports enthusiast highlighted on ways they plan to improve other sectors aside football and boxing.

The pressing issue that the Director clarified was the lifting of suspension and the impact of Ernest Akushe’s demise on the other boxers.
“The GBIMC came to ensure the regulation governing Ghana boxing works and I can say we will achieve it going forward. We have put in place measures to ensure these boxers get psychological support because I know that unfortunate incident will leave a negative mark on many.
Also, we will be closely monitoring the medical requirements of all boxers, before and after their fights to ensure they get the needed assistance.” said the NSA Director

“we have constantly been engaging those federations and associations to pinpoint their immediate need while working on ways to improve the athlete.
We have since talking office started to build while renovating courts, fields and arena’s that will help these lesser sports. Like the Paralympic team. There is a facility here for them to train while we find ways of improving it.”
Mr. Ankrah, Director of the NSA is known to many as the person to introduced beach soccer to Ghana and a sports journalist who has maintained his pedigree. His love and dedication to the office told more than a story.
