Galatasaray have proven themselves worthy of the UEFA Champions League title after another successful display in their fixture against Ajax Amsterdam.
The Turkish giants traveled to Johan Cruijff ArenA and owned the place. The person who was in the mix remained Victor Osimhen, one of the best and current top scorers in the UCL.
Ajax suffered a 5-1 defeat to Chelsea Fc and Galatasaray went to get their share of the cake. Galatasaray came into the fixture with an impressive record and needed to build on it.
Ajax known for their open play and use of young talents gave it their all ensuring the first half ended blank. The second half had one man writing his own story in the Netherlands.
Former Manchester City and Bayern Munich forward Leroy Same started the magic with his quick and sweet feet finding on-fire Victor Osimhen who headed it home in the 59’ for the opener.
Osimhen added two more from the spot in the 66’ and 78’ both VAR awarded to record his hat-trick for the night.
The Nigerian striker whose hat-trick has given Nigeria the chance to represent at the FIFA World Cup via playoffs recorded another to show his presence and sharpness in front of goal. The Turkish giants are now nine (9) games unbeaten in all competitions since their since their 5-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt in September.
Ajax Amsterdam have since parted ways with J. Gijsbert Alan Heitinga with many linking former Manchester United boss Eric Ten Hag of a return to his original club.
