Enzo Maresca almost lost to Qarabag Fc after his continuous attempt to switch his style and selection for the fixture.

Chelsea Fc who started as favourites got their backs against the wall but fought back like champions to secure a point away from him.

Maresca and his team picked up a lone goal victory over Tottenham Hotspur’s in the English Premier league before travelling to Azerbaijan for the UEFA Champions League tie.

Moisés Caicedo who was on a supposed rest was called upon in the early minutes of the game as Roméo Lavia suffered an injury and got subbed in the 8’.

Chelsea Fc have a great attack and midfield but their defence still lets them down and it came to play again against Qarabag. Leandro Andrade found himself in a good position to draw level for his side in the 29’ after Duran’s initial shot hit the post.

The game got hotter in the second half as the Club World Champions came out with more fury. They started to create chances and shot without holding back. Estêvão, Granacho, Liam Delap all had their turns to level it for Chelsea Fc until the 53’ when Granacho decided to go for goal. His ball went through the legs of the Medina into right corner for the Chelsea Fc equaliser.

With minutes left to end the game, both teams had fair chances of taking the lead. Qarabag FK sent in a cross which could have shattered the Chelsea Fc hopes but the headed ball landed in the gloves of Robert Sanchez. From defending, Chelsea Fc switched to a swift counter attack where Granacho’s late effort was saved by Mateusz Koshalski to keep the game at parity.

Qarabag Fk and Chelsea Fc both have seven (7) points on the UCL table after found (4) games with hope of qualifying to the next stages of the competition.
