Liverpool finally woke from their slumber in the UEFA champions league after a masterpiece of a comeback against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Liverpool Fc after losing four consecutive games have finally realised this trend can’t continue and they took it out against Eintracht Frankfurt who drew first blood at the Deutsche Bank Park.
Fans were already on the edge of their seats after the first 26’ after Kristensen put Frankfurt in the lead. This was not what Liverpool and Arne Slot was expecting and needed to turn things around with urgency.
Ekitike whose position was supposed to be shaky because of the inclusion of Isak took the job extra serious against and levelled for Liverpool in the 35’ before the real trashing started.
The comeback was staged for but the Liverpool defence were more than ready when the time was right, Van Dijk added the second in the 39’ before Konate made it 3-1 with only a minute for to end the first half.
At this point Eintracht Frankfurt had bitten more than they could chew. Liverpool Fc were enraged and ready for more. After the break, Cody Gakpo added his name to the score sheet to make it 1-4 for Liverpool Fc in the 66’.
Dominik Szoboszlai who has been incredible for club and country had the best reserved for last as he scored a spectacular with a shot from yards away in the 70’ to make it 1-5 for the Reds.
While’s Liverpool Fc have returned to winning ways, they still have to prepare for their clash against Brentford in the EPL as defeated Eintracht Frankfurt face off Saint Pauli in the Germain league.
