Galatasaray’s UCL campaign has been nothing short of spectacular after their victory over Liverpool at Anfield. The man who remains in the midst of the news remains Victor Osimhen whose scoring boots remain lit.
Currently placing second in the UCL table after three games, Galatasaray have given a fair account of themselves and continue to prove they can be a formidable force to reckon.
Galatasaray hosted Bodoe/Glimt at the Rams Park and showed them why they should be feared by other teams in the competition. Remember Bodoe/Glimt held Tottenham Hotspur’s to a 2-2 before travelling to Turkey for this encounter.
Victor Osimhen who scored the only goal against Liverpool Fc started early in the game, Osimhen’s first kick in the game gave Galatasaraythe lead in the 3’ after Mario Lemina’s pass found him with lost of space in front of goal.
He almost got the second three minutes after his opener but his header was saved by Nikita Haikin.
While Bodoe/Glimt were still trying to find their way back into the game, Fredrik Bjorkan who was looking for his goalkeeper gifted Osimhen who was lurking in the Bodoe/Glimt area and he sure said thank you for the gift with his second goal in the 33’.
It was almost impossible for the visitors to stage any form of comeback as Galatasaray were in possession of the ball making it difficult for the visitors to string any passes together.
A solo run by Sane after an effort by Hauge struck the Galatasaray post almost gave Osimhen a first half hat trick but his effort went inches away from goal in the 43’.
Akgün made it three for Galatasaray in the 60’. His initial effort was saved by Haikin only to ricochet into his path to slot it home.
Helmersen managed a consolation goal for Bodoe/Glimt in the 75’ after Çakir miscalculated a save from Bjorkan’s cross.
Game ended 3-1 and as bad as it seems for Bodoe/Glimt, they have managed the same points as Juventus, AS Monaco and a point clear of Villareal after three games.
