PSV Eindhoven took no chill after taking Napoli through a workout drill in the Netherlands.

Napoli currently third on the Italian Serie A table were not match for PSV Eindhoven who were ready for what was going to be thrown at them.

For visitors, many would assume they would start from the back foot but Napoli pulled the first string at the Philips Stadion when former Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay connected to a cross from Spinazzola delivering a beautiful header in the 31’.

Napoli were 0-1 up and needed to build on their lead but gave it away after Buongiorno’s attempted clearance ended up in his own net in the 35.

It was game on, but PSV looked more eager for ready for action. Napoli started to give possession away in the heart of midfield and PSV Eindhoven took advantage of such error in the 38’ when Guus put a pass through to Saibari was was yards aways in space and slotted in the third for PSV.

The first half ended 3-1 for PSV with hopes that Napoli might turn things around but their fate turned from bad to worse. Dennis Man who was knocking at the Napoli goal throughout the first half got his reward in the 54’ to increase the goal tally and in the 76’, Napoli who were 3-1 down hand to fight with a man less.

The job had become easy for PSV now and the rewards kept unfolding. Dennis Man got his second and fourth in the 80’ and Napoli struck back with their own response.

It was no other than Scott McTominay who has been the talk in the Napoli setup. While McTominay pulled one back in the 86’, Pepi made sure to keep is intact with a swift response in the 87’.

Napoli at this point would have loved for the game to end but Papi and his teammates were still having fun. It was just a minute on the clock to end proceedings but that was more than enough for Driouech who slotted the sixth goal in for PSV.

Game ended 6-2 in Netherlands while Napoli returns to Italy to paper for their game against Internationale Milan.
