Hansi Flick and his team showed no mercy to Evangelos Marinakis after the Catalans dragged their opponents through the mud in their UEFA Champions League tie.

The Catalans who almost slipped up in the Spanish LaLiga had to get themselves in high spirit for their El Classico on Sunday and they did that just perfectly.

Fc Barca was arguably a tough opponent for Olympiacos and nothing stopped the Catalans from proving same.

Fc Barcelona beat Olympiacos by 6-1 to inflict more Spain to Marinakis whose teams have been struggling over the week.

Feemín López started it quick for Fc Barca with an opener I the 7’ and added his second in the 39’. It looked like a finished game from the start as Fc Barca went into the break with a two-goals lead.

Ayoub El Kaabi who initial goal in the 50’ was ruled out by VAR pulled one back for Olympiacos in the 54’ from the spot after a VAR awarded penalty and just when the visitors thought they were back in the game, all hell broke lose.

Santiago Heze who was on a yellow card received his second booking in the 57’ to give Fc Barca a man advantage and moments later, Barca received their share of a VAR awarded penalty.

Yamal Lamine took responsibility and made it 3-1 for Fc Barca in the 68’. It was now over for Olympiacos as Fc Barca started to throw their weight at them.

Marcus Rashford who wasn’t ready to be a viewer took action and added to his goal tally in the 74’ before López clocked in his hat-trick in the 76’.

Fc Barca were 5-1 up with their visitors scattered all over the pitch, Marcus Rashford believed their was still time for a last dance and he took it to record a brace in the 79’ to give Fc Barca a 6-1 victory.

This victory will surely go a long way to motivate them as their prepare for their LaLiga decider in their El Classico this Sunday.
