Jean-Philippe Mateta is not just living the dream, at this point he is the dream. The 28years old French man after being called to international duty recorded his first goal only to come back to club action and record a hat-trick against one of the best teams so far in the English Premier League.
Crystal Palace were writing their own unbeaten record until their 2-1 defeat to Everton but they made sure to not continue from where they stopped heading into the international break.
AFC Bournemouth had a quick start which saw Kroupi find the opener in the 7’. Crystal Palace were all over the place as they had not settled on their own turf. Kroupi who was enjoying himself added a second in the 38’ sending his side into the break with a two goals lead.
The fun started after the break when Jean-Philippe Mateta took matters into his own hands and went after AFC Bournemouth on a solo mission.
Mateta who is on fire currently drew one back for Palace in the 64’ and equalised in the 69. This was the Mateta Palace fans were looking for.
Christie almost spoiled the fun after shooting AFC Bournemouth into the lead with just a minute of regular time left to play.
While other looked at Eddie Nketiah to pull another magic like he did against Liverpool, VAR awarded Palace a penalty kick. Mateta who was on a brace took responsibility and in the 90+7’ he got his hat-trick and pulled parity for his club.
