Nottingham Forest might be suffering one of the quickest karma in life after the sacking of Nuno Espírito Santo as head coach. The Portuguese international performed lots of magic ending with a qualification to European action only to be sacked by the owners.

Ange Postecoglou suffers another home defeat as Nottingham Forest manager to Fc Midtjylland in their UEFA Europa match. This is his sixth game in charge without a win and fans have started calling for his head.

Nottingham Forest was just fine before the sacking of Nuno with the hopes that Postecoglou will add some magic to their performance but things seems to be going down the drain rather faster.

While many teams have dwelled on their home advantage, Forest suffered in front of their supporters. Midtjylland took the lead in the 18’ (Diao) to shake up Forest and their response almost gave a winning vibe after equalising in the 22’ after Dan Ndoye tapped one in.

With a sense of belief coming back to Forest fans, the visitors decided to make it a bit more fun as Bech shot them into a 2-1 lead in the 24’.

At this point, it was like a dream to Marinakis and Postecoglou but they had the entire second half to find answers to the blazing attack of Midtjylland if there was any.

Chances were created, chances were missed, saves were recorded but Valdermar Byskov still managed to find space in the 88’ to make it 3-1 with a sweet mind-play goal.

In the 90+3’ Chris’s Wood managed a consolation for Forest from the spot to take the score to 3-2.
Chants from the home fans read, “you will be saved in the morning”.

Some will call it a management mistake while others call it impatience. Nottingham Forest after sacking Nuno Espírito Santo have been dragged through the mud by names in the football world that wouldn’t stand a chance.

Nuno Espírito Santo just like Ange Postecoglou qualified their respective teams to play in this seasons UEFA Champions League only to be sacked but the one taking the toll is Evangelos Marinakis.

The achievements of Nuno Espírito Santo and the miracle he performed last season, were no determining factors for Evangelos Marinakis whose decision to sack him has no alternative, but out of sheer ignorance and gross mismanagement.

Since Ange Postecoglou was appointed manager, Forest is the Premier League club that has conceded the most goals in all competitions and remain winless in all competitions. Will Postecoglou be given the time to work things out or his chances are already running out?
