Fc Barcelona surely have found a new rival in Paris Saint-Germain who in recent times have been picking vital wins against the Spanish side.

Fc Barca known for playing one of the best possession games in the world overturned a 4-0 first tie UCL game against PSG by 6-1 in a game where many believed have lots of errors but didn’t matter anyway.

A match between Fc Barca and Paris Saint-Germain surely was going to be one to remember. Not just because of the flair of the players but a display of arrogance and strength from both sides.

Paris Saint-Germain are the current defending UCL champions plus super cup winners while the other team is the ‘we will bring it to Barcelona squad’. No disrespect Fc Barcelona but their disrespect to Paris Saint-Germain cost them in their UCL tie at the Estadio Olimpico Lluis Companys which is a neutral ground.

Yamal started the taunts with two Instagram posts, the first that reads ‘Pressure’ and the second “I’m back and the mission is also back” with the Fc Barca and PSG logo. This was a direct message to the visitor but none of them seemed to care.

The match started as usual for Fc Barcelona who started showing signs of dominance in the early minutes. Yamal had the best of Nuno Mendes is the first ninety (90) seconds of the game and the rest of play he was marshalled very well.

Conceding a goal against a team like Fc Barca is nothing new as they have all it takes to break any defensive line and they did so against Paris Saint-Germain in the 19’ when Torres shot the Catalans into the lead.

Nuno Mendes made a spectacular run from his half making it past three Fc Barca defenders before passing the ball to Mayulu who dummied Szczęsny and his defence before slotting the ball in for an equaliser in the 38’.

Chances were created, Hakimi had to make timely goal line clearance while Kang-in rocked the post in what would have been a winner. Barcola was missing his own chances but Gonçalo Ramos who came on in the 72nd minute wasn’t up for a draw.

With both teams waiting for how much added time there would be, Ramos and Hakimi were planning their own showdown. Hakimi found himself in space and took the ball towards the Fc Barca goal only to see Ramos in open space, he played the ball into his path where he comfortably placed it into the net for a 1-2 lead.

Yamal could not believe his eyes, his supposed pressure was biting back at him. His mission to make Nuno Mendes and his team lose didn’t materialise.

Many have been asking what Nuno Mendes achieved in the game and the answer remains so obvious aside his MOTM award. Nuno is an excellent player whose style of defence is not as scary as starting an attack.

In a game where Pedri, Yamal, Vitinha, Barcola, Hakimi and Lewandowski all played, Nuno Mendes was adjudged the MOTM and that is enough to put some respect to him name.
