Tottenham Hotspur’s are walking in the shoes of Liverpool Fc lately with with late equalisers and coming back to split points.

Wolverhampton Wonders are one of the struggling clubs in the English Premier League currently without a win or a draw heading into their clash against Spurs.

With the signings and play by Spurs, Wolves were sure to be another point dashing team but the surprise almost went to Spurs.

Winless in their last five EPL games, Vitor Pereira has his own pressure while battling relegation in the early stages of the Premier League.

Centre referee Michael Salisbury took centre stage at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and right from the start Wolves threw everything they had at Spurs.

It was a win or win affair for the visitors while Spurs needed to get back to winning ways. Possession was slightly in favour of Spurs who held 51% of play against 49% to Wolves.

Mohammed Kudus with a curler gave Spurs the lead in the 27’ but he was miles into an offside position. His effort again in the 41’ was saved by Sam Johnstone where the rebound almost resulted in a penalty.

Matt Doherty at the brink of half time almost stunned his former club as his effort from a spilled corner kick rocked the Spurs goal post.

It took determination and willpower from the Wolves side to hold Spurs to a draw at the break and things changed swiftly in the second half.

The return to action was energising, nine (9) minutes into the second half, Santiago Bueno was presented a gift from a corner kick after Vicario’s save ricocheted off his defender to the feet of Bueno for a tap-in.

Wolves after taking the lead did not sit back as they pushed for a second with a couple of half chances going a-begging.

It was 90’, Wolves could smell victory but needed to see it through with four (4) minutes of added time.

Mathys Tel on the flanks sent in a cross which was laid perfectly for Palhinha at the edge of the goal box.
He slotted it into the lower right corner where Johnstone had no answers to.

It was at the brink of defeat and his goal saved Spurs and Thomas Frank from a disappointing game. In celebration, Palhinha took of his shirt readily accepting his booking which was well worth it.
