Crystal Palace in their last three games against Liverpool have had the edge over the current EPL champions and they proved it yet again in their EPL clash that has got many questioning the potency of Arne Slot.

Liverpool Fc have been stunned yet again by Crystal Palace in a fiercely contested EPL game which had much significance that just a meeting.

Crystal Palace welcomed Liverpool Fc to the Selhurst Park and the hosts who beat Liverpool Fc to win their first major trophy took to the centre stage to prove it wasn’t just a fluke.

Many teams will play against a star studded, quick attacking Liverpool Fc with caution but Crystal Palace seemed to found their antidote and went at them even before Liverpool could blink.

With a lineup including. Alexander Isak, Gravenberch, Salah, Gakpo and Wirtz, many would think Liverpool are unstoppable but Crystal Palace just made it look easy.

Right after centre referee Chris Kavanagh blew his whistle for the start of the game, Palace threw everything at Liverpool and found an opening before the quarter mark.

Ismaila Sarr in the 9’ shot Crystal Palace into the lead while Liverpool Fc still weren’t sure how to approach them. Chances were created, Liverpool Fc made couple of openings with Isak and Salah trying Dean Henderson but he was up to the task until later in the second half.

Frederico Chiesa came on as a sub in the 74’ got booked three minutes after and just when Crystal Palace thought they were winning with a lone goal, Chiesa in the 87’ draw level for Liverpool.

Eddie Nketiah who also came on as a such a minute after Chiesa came on also got booked three minutes and delivered the decisive blow to the game.

With a minute left from stoppage time, Crystal Palace had a throw-in deep in the Liverpool half, a slight loss in concentration saw Curtis Jones head the ball to Eddie Nketiah who was no marked and he slapped the ball through Allison’s legs to give Crystal Palace a 2-1 victory.

Since 2024, Liverpool Fc have managed a single win against Crystal Palace and it seems that edge over the champions isn’t stopping soon.
