Chelsea Fc have been riding on the title won months ago but have not proven afterwards what they are truly made of. Going all out to sign a couple of players to ensure they are competition ready yet struggling to keep up with the likes of teams they should easily be maxing points from.

Enzo Maresca’s EPL journey this season is definitely not going as planned after a series of defeats both away and at home including defensive blunders that have cost him Sanchez and currently Chalobah.

Another bad day at the office for Enzo Maresca after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in the EPL.

Chelsea Fc managed a 2-1 victory over Lincoln City in the EFL but lost two games and drew one leading to that fixture.

What surprised many was their lose against Manchester United as many thought it would be Maresca’s easy game but he made it look worse right from the start after Sanchez got sent off in the 5’.

Chelsea Fc player Brighton Hove Albion and the predictions by many EPL pundits were in favour of Brighton. It wasn’t surprising as Brighton have been a force to reckon in the EPL and their last game before the Chelsea clash was a 0-6 victory over Barnsley.

It was a calm and collected game for Enzo Maresca and his team in the opening minutes of the game where Estêvão Willian had a couple of chances to give Chelsea the lead but his selfish play say his efforts saved by Bart Verbruggen and Van Hecke.

24’ into the game, Enzo Fernandez from a cross, headed Chelsea into the lead to bring hopes of defying the predictions of some of the pundits until everything changed in the second half.

Chelsea started to open up unnecessary leaving their defence wide open and this cost them in the 53’ as Trevoh Chalobah tracked back to stop a goal scoring opportunity which saw him being sent off after a VAR review.

Both managers made a couple of changes but Fabian Hürzeler’s was more productive with a man advantage over Chelsea Fc.

Danny Welbeck equalised for Brighton before the real pressure started to pile on Chelsea. At this point, Maresca would have hoped the match will be ended but Brighton ere just starting.

Maxime De Cuyper gave Brighton a 1-2 lead in the 90+2’ before Danny Welbeck added a third and his second in the 90+10’.

At this point, Chelsea’s lead was not just cancelled, they were beaten at their own backyard by a team that has supplied them four players who featured in the match. Robert Sanchez, Caicedo, Marc Cucurella, Joao Pedro and many believe there will be more signing after this defeat from Brighton.
