English Premier League side Brighton did not take their EFL tie against Barnsley lightly as they went all out to ensure no surprises later in the game.
Brighton Hove Albion almost picked a win against Tottenham Hotspur’s in the English Premier League after taking a two-goal lead only to be cancelled out by Richarlison and an own goal later in the game.
The Seagulls went away to Barnsley for the EFL cup match and didn’t make any mistake than brash the championship side away with a hefty margin.
Brighton sure weren’t ready for any surprises in the game and went all out to with a performance that showed the difference between the premiership and championship sides.
The torment started as early as the 9’ when Diego Gomez opened the scoring for Brighton. The hosts were lost at their own backyard. Brighton were in control of the game right from the get go and made no mistake whatsoever.
Gomez added three more goals in the 22’, 33’ and 68’ to shot Brighton into the a 0-4 lead.
While’s Barnsley thought their suffering was over, Harry Howell added a fifth in the 87’ before Yasin Ayari who scored against Tottenham Hotspur’s added the cherry to the icing two (2) minutes after.
Brighton were now leading the hosts by 0-6 which was enough to see them win emphatically.
