This time it wasn’t a Richarlison show but an Evanilson takeover.
Tottenham Hotspur’s have been building a streak from the start of the EPL with two wins coming into their clash against Bournemouth.
Bournemouth on the other hand have been trying to build their own momentum in the EPL after 2-0 defeat to Brentford.
It was a Ghanaian affair, two prime players of the Ghana national team representing their respective clubs in Mohammed Kudus and Semenyo.
Kudus has been a remarkable signing for Tottenham while’s Semenyo remains the sensational target at Bournemouth.
The chess game as many predicted it lived up to expectations. The link up play between Kudus and Richarlison always posed a threat but AFC Bournemouth were able to handle it only to retaliate with a stinger.
It took Evanilson five (5) minutes into the tie to give AFC Bournemouth the lead which they defended till the end of proceedings.
The skill and talent of Kudus and the power play of Richarlison combined with the agility of Brennan Johnson could not help Spurs overturn the scoreline.
Spurs although holding 61% of possession compared to AFC Bournemouth’s 39%, the visitors managed to create more chances with six (6) shots on goal while Spurs managed a single.
AFC Bournemouth plays Brighton next on the 13th September.
