Boxing is set to see some wild changes following a fight that took place in the streets of New York that got many people wondering whether it was a boxing match or just a running context.

On the night, Devin Haney, Canelo, and Ryan Garcia were there of the fighters who took centre stage to showcase their skill but it ended up one of the most boring events in the history of boxing according to a spectator post.

Well boxing is set to see some changes that will restrict boxers from running all over the ring but to fight and give fans what they have paid to come and watch.

The rule which was introduced by Turki Alalshikh, a key figure in Saudi Arabia’s boxing investments, aims to promote more engaging and action-packed fights, stating that he wants to see “warriors, not marathon runners”. This policy reflects a desire to move away from what some perceive a strategy and towards more direct, crowd-pleasing exchanges.

“From this point on, I don’t want to see any more Tom and Jerry-type boxing matches where one fighter is running around the ring and the other is chasing him. We can no longer support these kinds of fights with Riyadh Season and The Ring.” said Alalshikh

Well this rule sure isn’t making a couple of boxers happy and that includes Devin Haney and Scull who are the main actors of this rule.

Ryan Garcia shared his comment via his social media handle saying, “This no running rule is wild.” a fan quizzed, why does it matter, you don’t even run. he replied, “Not to me but it’s like you can’t influence boxing styles that way.”

It is true that Ryan Garcia doesn’t run in the ring or away from other fighters but do you think his stand on why these rules are wild is enough to get it abolished?
