Accra Hearts of Oak make last comeback after taking maximum points against Samartex in the Ghana premier leaugue.
The embattled club has been struggling under their coach Aboubakar Ouattara who has become a celebrity coach in the media space.
The club has lost its credibility in the league and now celebrate a top four spot as an achievement.
Going into the game against Samartex was another headache for their fans knowing the inconsistencies but still had to trust Ouattara to help them get the needed results.
Samartex, the former league winners had all it takes to beat Accra Hearts of Oak on a good day but the Phobains got the upper-hand and managed the game well after.
Konadu Yaidom’s power header game Accra Hearts of Oak a 1-0 lead and the Continental Masters defended it with all they had. They were in a race for top four spot as fierce rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko and had no reason to slip up.
Coach Ouattara and his team managed to grab all points from Samartex while rivals Kotoko were soaking goals from Vision Fc.
In a post match media briefing, Ouattara who many have been calling on management of Accra Hearts of Oak to sack had this to say,
“Now I am popular in Ghana because if you are listening to the radio, it’s Ouattara staying or leaving discussions”
Well that is not far from the truth as fans of Accra Hearts of Oak are of the view that he is not good enough to take the team to its former glory.
