Victor Osimhen’s loan spell with Galatasaray has come to an end and the Nigerian is set to return to Napoli next season after the Italian club won the Italian Serie A. Napoli have had a wonderful season just as Osimhen and many have linked his return to be completed with another transfer.
Osimhen had been linked to many clubs before his loan spell with Galatasaray where his performance has always been top notch. Galatasaray won the Turkish league and many also believed the Turkish giants will seek after Osimhen but there hasn’t been any news regarding his stay.
Chelsea once started asking about Osimhen when they needed a striker to fill their void position but there was no transfer inquiries but mere rumours.
Manchester United have become the latest club to be making headlines amidst their interest in signing the Nigerian forward as they try to build their team before next season.
There are a couple of names that have hit the media space linked with transfers to Manchester United which got their former player Paul Scholes adding his thoughts.
Paul Scholes has been close to the team for a while and seeing how the team struggled in the just ended season had this to add.
“I’d keep Højlund. I know he’s not been great, but he’s a 22-year-old kid who has been asked to play centre-forward for Manchester United on his own for the last two years.
He’s had to play every week. He’s the only one there, and he’s a 22-year-old kid. With the way they play, Man United should have at least three top centre-forwards, and I’d bring him into that group.
Get Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres. Hojlund has struggled – like mad of late especially but he’s not had the chance to sit down and watch. If a striker is lacking confidence the manager should sit him down and say, ‘Have a look, get a bit of hunger back, a bit of feeling back for the game’.

We all know he has centre-forward qualities — we’ve seen it. Not enough, I know that. But if he had experience around him. Say he had Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke around him, it would bring him on so much. He’s been absolutely flogged to death. People forget how young he is. A lot of it is confidence.”
The simple question many football pandits have asked remains same. Manchester United missed out on any European competitions next season so what will motivate any player who wants to be on the European front to pen a contract for Manchester United?
Ruben Amorim is trying to build a dream team and football lovers especially Manchester United fans can’t wait.
