Internationale Milan after stunning Fc Barcelona in the UEFA Champions league had a real test to pass against SC Napoli who had their eyes on the Scudetto with just a game to go. A slip up by Napoli meant a win for Internationale Milan and Antonio Conto’s side but when it mattered most, the rejected Manchester United duo, Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku showed up.
Antonio Conto joined Napoli with hopes of reviving the team with dreams of glory. His tactics has always been brutal as he gives no room to slack. His team learnt this very early when the joined the club and they played according to his plan and have reached another Italian glory.

The surprise in the whole story is the inclusion of Scott McTominay who joined Napoli in the summer transfer from Manchester United after he was sidelined for poor performance. McTominay to many did not deserve the position at Manchester United and the Scots move to Napoli to many was a retire plan but he has proved all his critics wrong.
The Italian league is arguably one of the most difficult league to play in and Scott McTominay has proven that he is capable of turning the table around at any time. His former teammate Romelu Lukaku who was not getting any chance of action has roamed many clubs, his former boss Antonio Conte who knew he capabilities trusted him and Scott to help the team win the ultimate and they surely have done justice to that.
Romelu Lukaku under the year of review has made 36 appearances for Napoli and played a total 2870minutes, he came on once as a sub and was subbed 29 times. The Belgian forward has netted 14 times with 3 goals from the spot-kick. Lukaku in his 36 games had 24 of his shots on target, 15 off target, 25 blocked shots and 24 offsides. Lukaku known i Manchester United was not the dribblers but managed to complete 14 dribbles for Napoli including an impressive 10 assists.
Scott McTominay found his lost joy at Napoli and it has proven it the best way any player should. Leaving Manchester United last summer to join Napoli, Scott scored an impressive 13 goals, made 4 assist and the surprising part is, he did not just win the Scudetto with Napoli.

Scott McTominay has being adjudged the ‘Most Valuable Player’ in the Serie A, this is something Manchester United fans can’t wrap their heads around, many have been asking whether it was a bad decision to let him go or the coaches at Manchester United just didn’t know how to utilise his potential.
However it be, I present to you Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku, the Manchester United rejects who have made Napoli proud and won the ultimate whiles Manchester United goes trophiless for the season.
