BRENNAN JOHNSON HAS DONE WHAT HARRY KANE COULDN’T

Ange Postecoglou’s signing to Tottenham Hotspurs surprised a number of football fans and most especially when he made a promise to the club about ending their trophy drought.

Tottenham Hotspurs have been struggling in the English premier league and had no hopes of European competition next year but found a chance lurking in their UEFA Europa cup final against Manchester United in Bilbao.

Manchester United place 16th on the EPL while Tottenham Hotspurs place 17th and amazingly these two teams were the one’s that qualified to the final.

For Tottenham Hotspurs, it was a chance for redemption while Manchester United needed it to boost their poor performance of the season.

Tottenham Hotspurs have been to the UEFA Champions league final and lost to Manchester City and weren’t going to let this one slide.

Ange Postecoglou who promised to win a trophy for the club in his season season with the club had a reputation to maintain as he has won trophies for all the clubs he has managed in the second season.

Harry Kane tried for more than a decade to win a team trophy with the club but was never successful, Luca Mora, Gareth Bale, Luca Modrić among other players.

Today the 17years wait has been broken, Manchester United could not contain the pressure and the determination of a team that has suffered and waited for all these years.

Son led his team and ensured they played according to plan, it was almost like a Jose Mourinho team in their defensive setup.

Brennan Johnson who joined Tottenham Hotspurs and told fans he was there to win trophies and got laugh at today has proved critics wrong. “They say Tottenham Hotspurs never finish, we never cross the line, we are not meant to break the chain, the fans get bashed, we get bashed as a team and we haven’t performed well in the league but all that doesn’t matter now” said Brennan who was jubilating without caution.

Tottenham Hotspurs proved they needed it more, they were hungry, they had starved fot 17years and now is the time.

The suffering didn’t go in vain, the wait was worth it, Tottenham Hotspurs are champions of the Europa league.
