Congratulations to Liverpool Fc and Arne Slot for winning the 2024/2025 seasons English Premier League title. Slot was the replacement for Jurgen Klopp and after taking over the club, Slot ensured his tactics was top notch.

In his first season as a manager of the club, he managed to beat majority of the big names in the English premier league including Pep Guardiola and Arteta. It was a season where everything went awesome for the gaffer as he sailed through smoothly.

It was another day for the league winners to showcase their skill at the Bridge, a game to show the world they can determine the outcome of any situation.

Chelsea gave Liverpool a guard of honour as the league winners walked onto the field and what happened next is what many have termed ‘The Guard of Humour’.

Chelsea who have been struggling to keep up with some of the struggling teams in the English premier league suddenly came alive. The team was poised, they were on heart right from the blowing of the whistle.

This was a surprise, spectators started asking questions and before anyone could answer, Enzo Fernandez who was the skipper for the day had broke the deadlock. 3minutes into the game Chelsea had their first goal.

This was a new Chelsea, they were playing with so much urgency. It was as though they were playing a cup tie. Chelsea have had some bragging right control with Liverpool and it sure needed to be sorted out.

Chelsea were in the mood for war, they pressed Liverpool in the first half and ensured their lead was not cancelled. The fun started in the second half when Liverpool had gone for new ideas on how to break the resilience of Chelsea.

Enzo Maresca who had nothing to lose threw all he had at Liverpool and in the 56th minute, pressure from the Blues could not be controlled well when Jarell Quansah slotted the ball into his own post to give Chelsea their second.

The Blues were in cruise control, everything was working for them today. The guard of humour surely was working to their favour. Liverpool was struggling to put anything positive together until the 84th minute when Chelsea conceded a corner kick.

Alexis Mac Allister stood behind the ball and lofted it into the 18-yard box, Virgil Van Dijk rose higher than all the defenders and headed it in to draw one back for Liverpool. To them it was game on but to Chelsea it was another message of attack.

Moisés Caicedo who was doing the magic of Ngolo Kante run with the ball into the 18-yard box and got tripped by Jarell Quansah who had already gifted Chelsea a goal.

Cole ‘Cold’ Palmer calmly took the ball and placed it on the 12-yard mark. It was a very emotional one as his last spot-kick at the Stamford bridge was saved. He had to show everyone what he was made of. He looked directly into the eyes of Allison Becker and slots it right under the arm of Becker to give Chelsea a two-goal advantage.

It was game over for Liverpool with just a minute to go. In a hurry, they passed the ball and their attempt to enter the half of Chelsea was just a dream. Centre referee Simon Hooper blew his whistle to end proceedings.

The game ended in a 3-1 win for Chelsea.
