Boxing is a sport whose outcome could be determined by a single landed shot and not by luck as many have assumed.

Devin Haney who had been trolled all over social media and used as a meme had a point to prove after his lose to Ryan Garcia which ended with lots of controversies. In as much as Ryan was suspended for using performance enhanced drug, that does not change the footage on the internet where Haney was knocked down by Garcia.

Haney in a desperate attempt to show the world he was the real deal entered the ring against Ramirez and surely got the job done.

Iron Mike Tyson, Shakul Stevenson, Claressa Maria ‘Gwoat’ Shields and other boxers at ring side were ready to enjoy another spectacular performance and they probably got just that.

Ramirez who loves to stand and fight had to chase the fight against a strategic Devin Haney who was on a mission.

Ryan Garcia was on the fight card for the night so Haney had a point to prove not just to the world but especially Garcia who he believes could never stun him without performance enhancement substances.

The fight which started with much anticipation and promise of fireworks ended up being one of the boxing fights with the least activity. Haney had a plan and he sticked to it, he moved around and avoided any confrontation whiles utilising his jabs and any opening.

The fight in as much as was boring served Haney its purpose. Ensuring he won the fight on points by the round. Ramirez known for his style of fight would’ve wanted to stand in the middle of the ring with Haney to exchange but winning boxing these days doesn’t have to be destructive.

Haney won by a unanimous decision after the 12 round contest in the streets of Times Square, New York.
