The Wessex League Abingdon for the U-13 and U-15 has created a lot of world title prospects as the youth who have participated in the event have gone on to qualify for many other events including the junior olympics amongst others.

The event that has seen a rapid switch in the field of Ohene Addae has impressed many including his dad who still hasn’t come to accept his son could be this fast while his initial love was football.

In an interview with his dad who is a serving military officer. Mr. Addae who has watched his son compete in series of football games and proving to be a talent to watch out for was shocked when his son told him he wanted to start sprinting.

“I am a sports person and I do weights, my son never showed signs of ever switching to athletics, he is fast that i can attest to because during his footballing days he would sprint and wowed many onwatchers.

He enrolled in the Wessex League Abingdon and had to take on a couple of teens who have also been doing well for themselves.

Ohene is running in the U-15 boys 100m and 200m race and I couldn’t believe he managed the result he claimed.

I believe with constant training and encouragement with the help of his manager who as been ever ready he will make it to the very top.

He will be participating in the Wessex League Match two in Southampton and the YDL on Saturday at Winchester.”

The qualification from this league will qualify leading junior athletes to the Junior Olympic games and with many looking forward to the Olympic games and other national events, It is the hope of the father of Ohene Addae to see his son soaring higher and making headlines in the track and field event while commanding leading sponsorships.
