Chelsea face another test after drawing blood against Brentford in the English Premier league. With the fight for a spot on the top four of the English premier league Enzo Maresca who has been playing chess with his team selection looks to get it right in the European competition.

The game between Legia started clam and started to pick up with an early scare for Chelsea which they brought under control.

Joshua Acheampong got his chance to start for the Blues as James, Palmer and Sancho added to make the team complete.

Chelsea were took control of the midfield battles and won majority of all areil duels while holding on to possession and dictating the pace of play.

In the 14th minute after Chelsea managed to defend against a quick counter led by Chodyna, Cole Palmer took the ball from the Chelsea half into the 18-yard of Legia only to pass it to Christopher Nkunku who shot it wide.

Both teams held on tight and ensured minimum mistakes or none leading to a goal was recorded. The first half ended in a draw with both managers heading to the tunnel with a lot of ideas in their heads either to change tactics or make subs to get any such results.

The second half of the UEFA conference league started with Chelsea looking more determined ad they included some urgency in their approach to the game.

The 49th minute of the game broke the deadlock as Tyrique George slotted one in for the Blues. The pressure was now on the home team but Chelsea sure weren’t ready to take their feet off the pedals.

Noni Madueke in the 57th and 74th minutes added the second and third goals for Chelsea while making an attempt for the forth.

Christopher Nkunku who has been pushing to add his name to the score sheet had a golden opportunity to make it four from the spot kick but Kacper Tobiasz saved his kick to keep the score at 3-0.

Chelsea are now in a comfortable lead heading into their second leg tie which will be in London. With three goals bagged, it is up to Maresca to ensure he keeps his tactics right as well as his selection for the day.
