The Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper who was a quick write-off by many media and sports personalities right after getting a call-up to the senior national team, the Black Stars and he did not disappoint.

Benjamin Asare’s call-up was not just by luck but hard work and perseverance. His performance in the Ghana premier league was and remain commendable hence getting that call-up.

The decision of the coach to include him caused an uproar with many sighting instances of his age, health and others but he proved them wrong as his performance during training earned him the top spot on his debut national assignment.

Benjamin Asare on his two games for the Black Stars made little to no error and he kept two clean sheets and a couple of saves.

After returning from national duty, Asare has continued to showcase class winning the MOTM in their game against Medeama SC.

With speculations of whether Accra Hearts of Oak will extend his contract or watch it die out, the Board of the Continental club has come out to ensure their safest pari of hands remains in the club to help them reach that height.

Benjamin Asare after making a name for himself has secured a two years deal extension with Accra Hearts of Oak which will see his contract out in 2027. This is not just an expression of gratitude but to honour his loyalty and pride he takes anytime he is working for his club.
