The most hated name in the Ghana national over a decade has been the ‘Ayew’ and it has been worrying with many people discrediting the efforts of the players their father, the Maestro had put into himself and the individual achievement of his sons.

Andre Morgan Rami Dede Ayew, born to one of Ghana’s greatest footballers Abedi Ayew Pele in Seclin, France earned his first national team call up in 2008 and has since represented Ghana from the U-20, U-23 and through to the senior national team.

Andre Ayew as captain of the U-20 team beat Brazil to win the FIFA world cup and continued to provide awesome for the team until recently when netizens started to question his commitment which has been unwavering since the day he worse the national colours.

The surprise of many journalists and sports pundits made the name ‘Ayew’ their topic of discussion over every defeat of the team and every mistake made by others. Dede Ayew has gone on to become one of the most loved players in the national colours even though many have tried to taint his hard built reputation.

Dede Ayew after becoming the Captain of the Ghana national team had lots of backlash claiming it is due to his fathers influence in the team that saw him become captain following the same being stripped from Asamoah Gyan.

Fast forward, Jordan Ayew the junior brother to Andre has been the next to receive same treatment with many asking for him to be snubbed as there are many other players better than him. The former Crystal Palace and currently Leicester City forwards has been one of the most prolific and enterprising forwards and has been lauded by many gaffers who have worked with him.

In the past five (5) years, this pair have been the topic of discussion but the same have continued to prove everyone wrong.

Jordan Ayew whose work rate on during a match on any day is unmatched has been heckled and disrespected by many in the media space and even asked to be retired early.

Jordan recently became captain of the Ghana national team and his leadership is a testament of what his elder brother Andre depicted on the field of play.

With two games in charge as captain, Jordan’s composure and work rate on the field has not changed but rather uplifted.

The Leicester City forward who continued to surprise fans has not missed a penalty kick bringing his tally to 17. His performance and all showcased the love he has for the team and his mates.

In their crucial world cup qualifier game against Madagascar, Jordan who was quiet on the day still managed to attach his name to all three goals scored to help Ghana climb to the top of the table.

Jordan created more chances which all resulted in goal and eventually maximum points for the team.

The world cup qualifier was one that has been on the lips of every football supporter in Ghana and the current change in the performance of the Black stars is commendable.

The only surprise is why the media has remained quiet about the exploits of this same name who they claim needs to be ousted from the team.

Jordan who many claim have issues teammates Thomas Teye Partey, Mohammed Kudus and others assisted in all their goals on the night. This is what the media should turn their attention to. They would be quick to judge and tarnish his image in the least opening but would need a whole season of justifiable thoughts to commend his efforts for the team.
