Nigerians have flooded social media to express their displeasure following the current form of their national team the Super Eagles.

Nigeria has been struggling in group with Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Benin, Rwanda and South Africa and their supporters are not having it anymore.

The team that is star studded and always trying to get into unnecessary competition with Ghana has had their share of humiliation after suffering another setback against Zimbabwe in a home game where they drew blood.

Netizens and football stakeholders have been angered and have started firing on social media over the teams performance and what needed to be done.

Nigeria is a football powerhouse and should be rocking shoulders with the like of Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Senegal, Mali and Ghana and not battle for points against teams that should not pose a threat in any competitive game.

One concerned supporters on social media claimed the team is over hyped and hence making them think they are invincible yet can’t even beat a depleted Zimbabwe.

Nigeria currently ranking 4th on the world cup qualifiers table with 7 points needs more than a miracle to turn things around.

The teams struggle is not only a concern to supporters but some of their keys players have showcased their frustration on the field of play.

Victor Osimhen who has been prolific for club activities and continues to do his bit for the national team was seen in a viral video walking off the pitch in anger after their draw against Zimbabwe where they conceded a late equaliser.

Victor Boniface who went to calm his temper was brushed off as the Galatasaray striker walked into the tunnel.
