The Ghana Black stars have gradually picked up their momentum following their previous flaws in the AFCON qualifiers. The entire country who once rallied behind the team started throwing shades and even called for the sack of the head coach until their return encounter for the FIFA world cup qualifiers match against Chad in Accra.
In a turn of events, the turnout at the stadium showed how ready the fans were to rally their support behind the team and the team did not disappoint as they trashed Chad to a 5-0 win.
With a crucial game against Madagascar in Morocco for a world cup qualification slot, it was nothing but a win for the Black stars and they had all they needed at their disposal to ensure same.
Jordan Ayew the current captain of the team maintained his position just as Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper and current choice of coach Otto Addo, Benjamin Asare. Many media personalities who were writing off the shot stopper had little to nothing against him yet wanted him on the bench for another.
Otto Addo who is finding a rhythm for his team ensured same playing a 3-4-2-1 formation against Madagascar who came in to attack with a 4-3-3 formation.
From kick-off, the Black stars of Ghana proved to be contenders of the top stop as they start possessing the ball and dictating the pace of play which making attempts to break the deadlock.
Thomas Teye Partey who was but not the vice captain of the Ghana Black Stars needed just eleven minutes to record the first goal of the night. This was a strong statement as Madagascar gave the same team a tough time in their previous game held in Ghana. The Ghanaian team was not complacent after their opener by Partey but kept pushing the hosts.
The first half ended with Ghana holding on to their one goal lead. The second half kicked off and in the 54th minute, the Arsenal defensive midfielder braced for the Black stars. It was all joy from the bench and from the supporters knowing the teams dreams of qualification to the world cup is still alive.
Mohammed Kudus who continued to dazzle the fans with every touch of the ball added the third in the 59th minute to seal the win for Ghana.
Ghana after the win places top of the group with 15points as Madagascar follows with 10points. Comoros and Mali both have 9points but things can change quickly for Madagascar should Comoros pick maximum points against Chad in the last game.
